Many of the directories contain a README file to describe the contents. There are a few things to note about all of the images and movies. The SSH contour interval is 5cm, negative contours are dashed, positive contours are solid, and the +17cm contour is in bold. The pies, tall moorings and short moorings are shown on all of the images as black triangles, red circles and green circles respectively.

This directory contains the following:

Images

• Contains PNG images of the various data sets. Each of the data sets are plotted individually and with SSH contour overlays. There are also tiled composites to compare multiple data sets.

Movies

• Contains numerous quicktime movie files (.mov) of most of the data sets.

Data

• Contains GOES SST, MODIS Level-2 chlorophyll concentration (color), MODIS Level-2 SST, CCAR altimeter SSH and Leo Oey model SSH data. All of the data is stored in netCDF files. All MODIS data is from the Aqua platform and is provided as individual daily files and 7day moving average data files (centered about the date of interest).
