GoM-EFS
The Gulf of Mexico Earth Forecasting System (GoM-EFS) is a model-based prediction system with the goal of providing analyses of present (nowcasts) and future (forecasts) physical conditions for the Gulf of Mexico. GoM-EFS is based on the Coupled-Ocean-Atmosphere-Wave-Sediment Transport Modeling System (COAWST) which allows the exchange of data fields between the ocean, atmosphere, waves, biology, and sediments.
The GoM-EFS nowcasts and forecasts fields are updated daily and are available to users via a graphical interface and NetCDF files. Currently available are the ocean and atmospheric fields. Waves, biology, and sediments will be added in the near future.
Deep-C was a four-year, interdisciplinary study of deep sea to coast connectivity in the northeastern Gulf of Mexico.Deep-C is no longer an active research project. The information on this website is for historical reference purposes only.
